Ò Dr. Angela Searcy holds a B.A. degree in English and secondary education with teacher certification though the state of Illinois, a M.S. degree in early childhood development from Erikson Institute, with a specialization in Infant Studies and Doctorate of Education, with a specialization in assessment and response to intervention. Her research centers around brain-based learning as assessed by the CLASS and aggressive behaviors in Head Start preschool children in Illinois.
Ò Angela has over 25 years of experience at all levels of education. A former neuro-developmental specialist Angela has specialized training in neuroscience. Angela currently acts as an adjunct online facultyandcontinuing education instructor at Erikson Institute, and professional development provider for Teaching Strategies, LLC . She is also the owner and founder of Simple Solutions Educational Services, a professional development company.
Ò She has been featured on WGN channel 9 Morning and Midday News, Chicago Public Radio’s Chicago Matters, Chicago Parent and Chicago Baby Magazines. On a personal note,Angela and her husband Reginald have been married for over twenty years and are the proud parents of 4 children aged 11-21.
